H. D. MILLER SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The H.D. Miller Scholarship was formed in 1992, to commemorate the company's 50th anniversary and to honor the memory of H.D. Miller, Sr.,founder of Miller Transporters, Inc. by providing educational opportunities for eligible employees and vendors of the Dewey Corporation or its subsidiaries. This year marks the eleventh year of the H.D. Miller Scholarship program. Over the years the total scholarship money has grown from a single $1,000 the first year to three $5,000 scholarships each for the last three years. During this time, over $65,000 of scholarship money has been awarded to scholarship recipients. The scholarship recipients are chosen by the scholarship's selection committee on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and need.


Andrea Lee Aubrey
She is a graduate of Daphne High
School and is pursuinging a degree
in Psychology at the University of
Alabama at Birmingham. She is the
daughter of Allen and Sharron Aubrey
(Mobile Terminal).


David Randall Green
He is a graduate of Magnolia High School
and is currently attending Southern Arkansas
University. He is double majoring in Computer
Science and Physics & Engineering. He is also
minoring in Mathematics. He is the son of Randy
and Kathy Green (Magnolia Terminal).


Amanda Kristin Johnson
She is a graduate of Lumberton High
School and will be attending Sam Houston
State University in the fall. she will be
pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. She
is the daughter of Lee and Jan Johnson
(Beaumont Terminal).


Jan Ellen Johnson
She is a wife and mother of three who has
resumed her education. She is currently
pursuing a degree in Management
Developement at LamarState College Port
Arthur.She is the wife of Lee Johnson
(Beaumont Terminal).


Lyndsey Nicole Lewis
She is a graduate of Norphlet High
School and is pursuing a Pre-Pharmacy
degree at Harding University. She then
plans to pursue her Pharmacy Degree.
She is the daughter of James and Donna
Lewis (El Dorado Terminal).


Ashleigh Anne Scruggs
She is a graduate of Kingwood
High School and is currently
pursuing a Nursing degree at
the University of Texas. She is the
daughter of Jimmy and Karen Scruggs
(Houston Terminal).
