On January 20, 2003, at the request of Ashland Chemical Corp, Miller Transporters Inc. opened a new terminal facility in Plant City, FL. Brian Hall, formerly a dispatcher at the Mobile, AL, will be the terminal manager and oversee the operations.

Miller Transporters, Inc agreed to a gradual phase-in plan for taking over the Styrene Resin hauling from Ashland Chemical in Bartow, FL on January 20, 2003, with a full takeover by March 15, 2003. However, due to a premature pullout by the incumbent carrier Miller was asked to take over 100% of the business prior to that date.

Currently, we have 10 trucks and 20 trailers domiciled at this operation, with 3 of these trucks dedicated to hauling for our sister company, MILS3PL, from AOC in Lakeland, FL. Plans are to continue to grow this facility as we acquire more business both into and out of the central FL area.
